Policies


Continuing Education Credits/Certificates of Attendance: The Willow Center provides Continuing Education Credits (CECs) (previously known as CEUs) from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) CT.  CECs may be applied for license renewal for Social Workers (LCSW and LMSW), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and Licensed Psychologists.  


In accordance with Connecticut Public Act No. 10-38 (Licensure of Master and Clinical Social Work) and NASW CT CEC Provider Guidelines, participants must satisfactorily complete the entire training to receive CECs.  Participants who arrive a half hour after the start of the training or who leave at any point during the training, will not be able to receive any CECs.  Partial CECs cannot be given.  No exceptions can be made to this policy.  It is the participant's responsibility to sign in at the beginning of a training and sign-out at the end of the training.  Certificates will be issued after the participant returns their program evaluation.


Registration:  Online registration is preferred.  Or you may fax, email, or mail registration with a purchase order.  


In the Event We Cancel:  In the event The Willow Center has to cancel a training due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive email notification and a notice will be posted on our website homepage: www.thewillowcenter.org 


We will email you with the rescheduled training date and post information about the rescheduled training on our website.  If you are unable to attend that training, please contact us via email or phone to request a refund.


Refund Policy:  If you are unable to attend a training, please call or email The Willow Center within 72 business hours prior to the start time of training to request a refund.  You may only receive a credit for future trainings if the cancellation is received less than 72 business hours in advance to the start time of the training,  No refunds or credits will be issued after the start time of the training.  No exceptions will be made to this policy.


Substitutions: Another person may attend a training in your place. If you registered online, you can make the transfer yourself.  Otherwise, please contact us to transfer the registration.


Waitlist Policy:  In the event one of our trainings is full, you can register online to be put on a waitlist.  This will ensure your best chance at getting a spot if one opens-up and you will automatically be contacted. You can also email or call us to be put on the waitlist and we can contact you if a spot becomes open.
